James S. Davidson, a local history teacher, was appointed to the Vermont Bicentennial Commission as a representative of the Vermont Historical Society, of which he was a member. From May 1975 to December 1977 he researched and wrote 139 weekly articles on 200 years of Rutland history which were published in the Rutland Herald. These Rutland Bicentennial Perspectives have now been placed here on the Rutland Historical Society website in a searchable format.
